For a long time, I have wanted to host house concerts, but never had the right space. When I moved to Ocean Beach my friend Jane thought that my little cottage would work just fine. It has great acoustics and we figured out that it could hold up to fifteen people and that seemed like a good enough audience so I put it in motion. It was important to me that my fellow musicians have a venue where they could count on a sincere listening audience and really be able to tell their stories with song and with word. I started out in January 2010, just word of mouth, offering one spot per month and soon an agent of one of the featured artists was so impressed that she booked her clients all the way into December, 2011.  (Please check my calendar page for concert schedule.)

There are no open dates at this time.

The agenda goes like this:
7:00 - 7:25     Doors open and people mingle.
7:25 - 7:30     I perform one to two songs and introduce the featured performer.
7:30 - 8:15     First set performed.
8:15 - 8:45     Intermission.  Food is served. Raffle is drawn.
8:45 - 9:30     Second set performed.

Music is acoustic only and donations of $10.00 would be appreciated. I also ask that guests reserve their seat in advance by calling 858-829-6037 or email me at brenpanneton@gmail.com.

Artists interested in performing will need to read and agree to an informal contract that basically promises that music will not be amplified and that the artist is also responsible for marketing this event. The contract also states that the show will be cancelled five days before a show if there are less than eight guests committed to coming.
